The highlights of all parties are the various competitions or short compos. According to our plans, you will be able to upload your releases via the party network, or you copy them from your winchester onto a computer reserved for these purposes. We also accept releases on CD, or in case of small size, on floppy disk.

About the prizes: In every compo, the first three placed winners will get a prize. There will be valuable prizes, but we will keep this secret for now. Don't worry, neither coder will get a Pascal book. :) The prizes are provided by K&H Computer Shop for the PC compos, New Wave Computers for Amiga compos, and Pasy-PC Bt. for C64 compos.

Demo compo rules:
For the demo compo, we accept releases with a maximum size of 24MB. The production can contain animations, but the whole demo can't be an animation. If the demo exceeds the size limit, it will be put into the wild compo. Productions made in half an hour, thought humorous by the author, will be put into the Recycle.bin compo.

64k intro compo rules:
We accept releases into this compo with a maximum size of 64 kilobytes, that is 65536 bytes. Production exceeding the size limit will be put into the demo category. The plain creations thought homorous will go to the Recycle.bin compo.

4k intro compo rules:
We accept releases here with a maximum size of 4 kilobytes , that is 4096 bytes. Productions exceeding the size limit will be put into the 64k category! We know that is hard to make anything in 4k, therefore we will judge the 'humorous productions' not so strict, but also keep in mind that a simple fire routine stolen from SWAG or downloaded from the net can also easily go to the Recycle.bin compo...

General rules:
For all three compos mentioned above apply these rules: If there are enough releases, we will split the platforms, and they will be awarded separately! In case of a PC release, please indicate whether the production is for the DOS or Win32 category! Releases infected with a virus will be automatically thrown out, so watch out!
Organizer of the demo and intro compos is Charlie/iNQ, address all questions and requests to him!

Platforms you can choose:
Releases in all three categories have to run on one of the following platforms:

PC Win32
- Productions will be shown on the Windows compomachine.
- The release has to run under Windows 2000 with DirectX8.
- If you use surround, please keep in mind that there will be only a stereo audio system and the two front channels will sound.

PC DOS
- Productions will be shown on the DOS compomachine.
- If the production has any special needs (EMS, no EMS, etc.), please indicate itin the readme file.
- Use of Gravis Ultrasound patches is forbidden.
- The demo can be GUS only, but it also has to run in nosound mode.
- Use of DOS extender is allowed.

Amiga
- Productions will be shown on the Amiga compomachine.
- Please make the releases as system-friendly as possible.
- The release can use the 68k and the PPC processor, too.
- AGA or RTG can also be used.

Linux
- If you have a Linux release, it is necessary that you bring your computer with you, otherwise we won't be able to show it.
- Please put your system into a standard 640x480/60hz XWindow mode, in which your release runs, because we don't know what the projector will say to the various exotic modelines...
- Since the demo will be spread, please compile it with static libraries, and indicate any extra requirements!
- Stick to the deadline! There can be serious problems if we can't try out the projector with your machine before the compos...

Many of you asked for this compo, where you can compete with demos written for machines that were demoscene standards some years ago. The size limit is 4MB. The production can contain animations, but the whole demo can't be an animation. In case of Amiga, the demo has to run from HDD, so please avoid floppy trackloaders. In case of PC please indicate any extra requirements (EMS, etc.). All other general rules are the same as for demo and intro compos.
Organizer of the oldschool demo and compo is Charlie/iNQ, address all questions and requests to him!

Pixelgraphics compo rules:
We accept pictures made with pixelling technique on any platform. If we suspect that the pic wasn't created with this technique, then it's better you have phases included in the release. If the picture doesn't suit the rules, it will be put into the truecolor compo.

Truecolor graphics compo rules:
You can enter pictures created with any 2D painter software on any platform. In this compo you can use any technique for painting, also including retouching of scanned pictures.

Trace compo rules:
In this compo, pictures created with any 3D modelling or raytracing software, on any platform can be entered. Only self created objects are allowed. If you download the newest at-at/x-wing/tie fighter objects, and you enter them, we will throw them out. Retouching with 2D editors is forbidden.

General rules:
For all three compos mentioned above apply these rules: Resolution of the picture can be maximum 800x600. If your picture is bigger than this, please include a converted version, too, or else we will convert it, but maybe this won't be of good quality. Any color depth is allowed. Please enter your image in GIF, PNG, TGA or JPG format! In case of too many releases, we will prejury, and the best 10 pictures will be shown. Every release entered will be spread. One graphician can enter up to two pictures. Productions made in some minutes, thought humorous by the author, will be put into the Recycle.bin compo. This doesn't apply for the normally prejuryed pictures.
Organizer of the graphics compos is ZooM/iNQ, address all questions and requests to him!

MP3 compo rules:
Competition of any style musics in MP3 format. Use of any music creator software is allowed. There is no size limit. Please enter at least 128kbit stereo productions. Maximum playtime is 3 minutes!

Multichannel compo rules:

Please keep this in mind if you are working with ModPlug Tracker! XMs and MODs will be played with Fasttracker 2.08, ITs and S3Ms with Impulse Tracker, in softwaremix. Maximum playtime is 3 minutes!

Four channel compo rules:
Competition of four channel tracked musics. Size limit is 1MB. We don't accept compressed .ITs. Productions exceeding the size limit will be put into the multichannel compo! Any style is allowed. General rules:
For all three compos mentioned above apply these rules: In case of too many releases, we will prejury, and the best 10 tunes will be played. Every release entered will be spread. One musician can enter only one music in a category.
Organizer of the music compos is Innocent/iNQ, address all questions and requests to him!

For this category we await productions made by lovers of the C64, but releases for other old 8-bit platforms are also welcome. Details coming soon.
Organizer of the 8-bit compos is Dfj/Dinasty, address all questions and requests to him!

Web compo:
We accept any kind of creative and inventive HTML pages. They will be shown with Explorer 5.5. Using Macromedia Flash, Java and Javascript is allowed. If you'd like to comment your page, indicate this before the compo at the organizers' desk. Pages will be shown in 800x600 fullscreen mode! Webserver will be a Linux Apache, which will connect to the compomachine via 10mbit LAN. Please avoid the use of CGI.
Organizer of the web compo is ZooM/iNQ, address all questions and requests to him!

Animation & Wild demo compo:
You can enter any kind of animation or short film. Please don't create tasteless and stupid productions or we will put it into the Recycle.bin compo. In this compo, the audience will have the right to hiss and boo, if a poor production accidentally stays in the compo. But please do this only if it's absolutely necessary.
- Size limit is maximum a bag of DVDs ;)
- Allowed formats: MPG, DivX, VCD, DVD or VHS.
- Maximum playtime: 10 minutes.

Organizer of the wild compo is ZooM/iNQ, address all questions and requests to him!

Fun compo:
Live fun without limits, for teams. Details at the partyplace.

Recycle.bin compo:
This is an additional compo, where the plain and 'humorous' productions thrown out from regular compos are shown. ( the normally prejuryed releases won't be shown here!) If someone enters this compo directly, we will laugh in his face ;)This compo will be shown separately, so if someone doesn't want to see these 'masterpieces', he can run away. This compo will also have prizes, but this is our secret for now ;)
